So the latest news is that ComCast is trying to buy Time Warner Cable Co. for an estimated $45 billion. Just something that this country needs, another company that merges together so that they can really put the premium prices on consumer goods. Do you remember last year when there were pricing disagreements with CBS and TWC? There was about a month long blockout of the very popular CBS station in major areas such as New York and Los Angeles.
I am still amazed as to why these cable companies make money from cable. Sure they can supply fast internet access, but really think about this people what if every single person just cut their cable subscription and signed up with huluplus.com or even netflix.com? You can watch more for less with either of these two or even combined both. Sure you may say “I don’t want to watch cable on my computer!” To answer that one, there is a Google ChromeCast that you could purchase for I believe $35 for your tv. Either way you look at it, you will be saving money in the long term by just saying to hell with the major cable companies. Do the math!
